  3. My Torah portion is Shemini from the book of Leviticus. This book talks about the food we can and cannot eat or kosher foods. The story starts on the eighth day of the ceremony to ordain the priests and consecrate the Tabernacle, Moses instructed Aaron to assemble calves, rams, a goat, a lamb, an ox, and a meal offering as sacrifices (called korbanot in Hebrew) to God. They brought the food to the Tent of Meeting and the Israelites assembled there. Aaron offers the sacrifices and then blesses the Israelites. Moses and Aaron then entered the Tent of Meeting and when they came back out they blessed the Israelites again. Then the presence of the lord appeared to all the people and consumed the offerings and sacrifices on the altar. Then the people shouted and fell on their faces.

Then the book Proceeds to tell all foods that we may and may not eat or what foods are kosher and not kosher. Such as Pig Rabbit Hare and Camel may not be eaten, but anything with "true hooves" can be eaten.

  4. The name of my torah portion is called Bamidbar in the Parsha.
The word Bamidbar means "in the desert."

Bamidbar was an event in the second month of the second year after the Exodus from Egypt. God had told Moses to take the census of Isrealite men over the age of 20. After all of these men were chosen it equaled up to about 603,550 men in all. These men were chosen to do something important. They were chosen to protect and guard The Tambernalce. The Tambernalce was a dwelling place for Jews while they were wondering looking for the Promised Land. Later on, it was placed in the First Temple of Jerusalem.

He went from a ditch and was probably going to die. His brothers did this to him becaus eof their jealousy of his techno-colored jacket from his favoring father. Joseph is 2nd in command to Moses. The brothers are shocked looking in amazement at their now very powerful brother.

  12. My torah portion is called Emor from the book of Leviticus. Moses chooses people to marry other people. But both people have to be the same type of person. Kind or Bad. Moses is trying to say that good people will be stuck with good people while bad people will be stuck with the bad people.

It also says that g-d planted crops and filled the land with bodies of water. G-d also brought one of each animal to the earth. To sum up my Torah Portion, God basically brought animals, food, night and day, crops and large bodies of water. That is my Torah Portion.

My Torah Portion is Shabbat Shuvah.
On my torah portion date the people were focused on assembling the people to commemorate Has hem's act on creating the universe. They were also trying to find a way to get out of Egypt to return him (Hashes). The Mate Ephraim writes "It is the custom throughout Israel in all of the desperation."After that the great men of each generation spoke, and that is something that I shall do on this date (September 22,2012).

My torah portion is "Parashat Noah." This is the story of Noah. It is very interesting because most people know the story of Noah and the arc and now I get to read it on my own bar mitzvah. The torah portion is about G-d saw that all the people were worthless and set out to erase and recreate the world. He told Noah to take his family into an ark and take seven pairs of healthy animals of each kind(male and female). G-d flooded the Earth and saved only Noah, his family and the animals aboard the ark.

  35. My Torah portion is called Ki Tisa and is about no plagues being put upon the Jews. God says to Moses if you are entered in the records then you shall pay half-shekel by the sanctuary weight. This is like an offering to the Eternal. God also tells Moses that you shall take expiation money and give half shekel to the Tent of Meeting. Daniel

My Torah Portion is about people being happy with what they have. God tells Moses to appoint the Levites as servants under Aaron and his sons. Some people couldn't celebrate Passover at the designated time because they were unholy, so they were given a time after that to celebrate what they had missed. After, God tells Moses how to leave Mount Sinai, and the people leave for Israel. On the way, the people are given manna (bread from heaven), but they complain about the lack of meat. Moses gets angry and asks God for help. God says to appoint a council of 70 elders to help him lead the people. Miriam, Moses's sister, complains that God is using his wife, and she gets sick. Moses is upset and prays to God to heal her, and after seven days, she gets better and the people resume their journey.

My Torah Portion is Parshat Terumah from the book of Shemot. In my Parsha, God is instructing the Jewish people on building a sanctuary. God states that the Jewish people should give “gold, silver, and copper; blue, purple, and crimson wool…” (www.chabad.org) etc. God wants the Jews to build the sanctuary so that God can “dwell in their midst.” (www.chabad.org) and be near the humans. However, I think that God wanted the tabernacle to be so exact because although God wanted to be among the Jews, God is greater than human beings and the sanctuary should be special.

My Torah Portion is Vayera from the book of Genesis. In my parsha god tests Abraham although he doesn’t know he is being tested. He is told to go to the top of a mountain and sacrifice his only son. He goes to the top of the mountain and builds an ark. He puts Isaac on the ark but right as it looked like he was going to kill him, he sacrifices a ram instead. Because he didn’t kill his only son god said he will bless Abraham with numerous kids.
